Patrick Benavidez is an accomplished massage therapist, in practive for five years. His specialties include Shiatsu, Sports Massage, Deep Tissue, Hot Stones, MYO, Cranial, Reflexology, Pregnancy, and Basic Swedish.
Patrick is a father of four and has been married for over seven years. His interest in Massage Therapy began during his wife's difficult pregnancies. When massaging relieved her pains, cramps and nausea, it prompted him to enroll in the Universal Therapeutic Massage Institute, where he was required to complete 350 academic hours and 150 hours clinical practicum mentored under some of the state's top therapists and teachers, to practice here in New Mexico. He has also successfully completed the national exam.
Since his certification, Patrick has experienced and learned a variety of therapeutic techniques. Hot stones, essential oils, aromatherapy , heat and herboloby are some of the extras which can truly enhance the benefits of massage.
It is essential to Patrick for his clients to receive the complete massage experience. For Patrick this includes relaxation, stress relief, renewed energy (due to improved circulation), pain relief, improved muscle, joint and limb mobility, headache relief, improved posture and freer breathing.
Patrick has been doing massage independently and through Massage Envy for the last four plus years and is the newest member of the family here at Westside Family Acupuncture and Massage, and he is very excited to be teaming up with a doctor of Oriental Medicine.
